UNSW Australia's top Technological
University
The Times Higher Education Supplement has announced its 2005 rankings
for the world's top 100 research-intensive universities (see the full
table or at http://www.thes.co.uk/statistics/international_comparisons/2005/main.aspx).
UNSW is ranked 16th in the world in the category of
engineering/technology, ahead of Melbourne University (18), Monash
University (24), ANU (29), Queensland University (40), and Sydney
University (48). Top of the list is the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, followed by the University of California
Berkeley. We are proud of this excellent achievement by the
Faculty of Engineering and its composite schools. Ultimately such
accolades reflect favourably on our School, on its Alumni, and on the
NSW surveying & spatial information industry in general.
