Carl Bamberg Micrometer Theodolite

Description

This micrometer theodolite by Carl Bamberg comprises of two diagonally opposite 'Ramsden' microscopes for reading of the horizontal circle which is located at the base. It is categorised as a 2nd order theodolite featuring a horizontal circle diameter of 210 mm and graduated every 5 minutes from 0º to 360º. Due to the absence of a vertical circle, the theodolite is generally used for measuring horizontal angles for second order triangulation networks.
