A weekly Staff-Student Development Seminar series is a forum for researchers to present their work, in the form of progress reports, research proposals (by new PG students) or practice conference papers.
This degree is awarded for the submission of an original thesis.
The normal full-time period is six academic sessions, and eight
academic sessions for part-time study. Research for this degree
may be taken at, or externally to, the University. All new PhD
candidates in the Faculty of Engineering must complete and pass
three courses as approved by the Head of School, normally in the
first year of candidature.
This degree is awarded for a thesis showing results of an original
investigation. The normal full-time period is three academic sessions,
and six academic sessions for part-time study. Research for this
degree may be taken at, or externally to, the University. All
new Masters research candidates in the Faculty of Engineering
must complete and pass three courses as approved by the Head of
School, normally in the first year of candidature.
