Lyn Moore currently works for Telstra in the Chief Technology Office and is Telstra's subject matter expert on location technologies. |

Lyn Moore has been employed by Telstra for 17 years; primarily at the Telstra Research Laboratories and for the last 3 years at the Telstra Chief Technology Office. In that time, she has been lucky enough to work in many fields related to telecommunications engineering including battery technology, multimedia, IP protocol engineering and mobile applications. For the past 5 years, Lyn has been Telstra's subject matter expert in location technologies. She develops Telstra's location and presence technology roadmaps and strategies, and provides in-house technical consultancy services to engineering and product development teams. Lyn has a PhD (Science) and a few diplomas to her name, and is a member of the Spatial Science Institute. |

Abstract Telstra provides many location based services to mobile customers. This talk outlines how Telstra protects user privacy by complying with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining strict internal privacy policies and deploying technology designed to protect the location privacy of its customers. |
