SSIS STUDENTS AWARDED UNIVERSITY HONOUR
The University of New South Wales’ Faculty of Engineering recently
presented Surveying and Spatial Information students Adrian White and
Sandra Hoffmann with prestigious Dean’s Awards. The award, sponsored
by Esso and Mobil, acknowledges outstanding academic achievement in
the field of engineering.
The Dean of
Engineering, Professor Brendan Parker and Associate Dean, Associate
Professor Tim Hesketh, presented the students with their awards at a
presentation ceremony held at the University. "We are delighted with
the quality of young engineers we are producing at this university,”
says Professor Parker. “Their range of interests, from biomedical
engineering to developing infrastructure such as roads, hospitals,
water and communication, shows the diversity of the profession and its
value to society." says Professor Parker.
"Esso and Mobil are
one of Australia's largest employers of engineering graduates and we
are pleased to support the University of New South Wales Dean's Awards
to promote engineering excellence," says Ms Louise McKenzie, Esso and
Mobil's Graduate Engineering Recruitment Manager.
