The Satellite Navigation & Positioning (SNAP)
group within the School of
Surveying & Geospatial Engineering (formerly the School
of Surveying & Spatial Information Systems), The University
of New South Wales, since the early 1990s has established
itself as the premier academic GPS/GNSS/Navigation research and
development group in Australia.
The SNAP group has evolved from being a large number
of graduate students supervised by one or two academic staff, to
the current situation where almost all of the academic/research
staff of the School of Surveying & Geospatial Engineering have
research interests in the general fields of "Navigation" and
"Earth Observation" ("NEO" for short). This
web site is maintained as a portal for information on activities
of the former Satellite Navigation and Positioning
Laboratory.
