Education:

B.Sc. in Electrical & Mechanical Eng., Northern Jiaotong University, P.R. China, 1994.

M.Sc. in Civil Eng., Tsinghua University, P.R. China, 2001.

Ph.D. University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, 2006.

Research Experience:

  • Design of circuit and software for a low-cost GPS receiver based on an OEM board (Canadian Marconi) and a single chip computer.
  • Programming of a navigation system for underwater topographic surveys.
  • Member of design group responsible for Real Time Monitoring of the Humen Bridge using GPS-RTK.
  • Designer of low-cost GPS receiver for Precision Agriculture.

Computing Expertise:

  • Programming with Visual C++, and Visual Basic.
  • Familiar with DOS, Windows, Windows NT, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficient in programming of a Single Chip Computer.

Current Research:

An investigation of methods to determine non-line-of-sight (NLOS) error in terrestrial-based wireless positioning systems.

SydNet network-RTK algorithm development.

Mobilephone positioning.
