B.Sc. in Physics, Nanjing University, Nanjing, P.R. China.

M.Sc. in Electrical & Information Eng., University of Sydney, Australia, 2001.

Ph.D., University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, 2007.

Current Research Topics:

  • Integrated GPS/INS system for high accuracy navigation and geo-referencing
  • Algorithms design and development for integrated navigation systems
  • Vision aided navigation system
  • Integrated navigation system applications

Recent Research Experience:

  • Developed a pseudolite (PL) augmented airborne GPS/INS system for high accuracy geo-referencing.
  • Designed a PL augmented DGPS positioning algorithm and formulated PL tropospheric delay models.
  • Proposed efficient neural network aided integration algorithms to improve integrated navigation system performance.
  • Developed software for pattern recognition and image processing projects with C, C++ and Matlab in both UNIX and PC environments.
  • Designed algorithms for feature extraction, character recognition and image compression.

  • Member, International Global Navigation Satellite Systems (IGNSS) Society, Australia
