Education:

B.E., Dept. of Computer Science & Architecture, JiLin University, P.R. China , 1985.

M.E., Shen Yang Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1989.

M.E., Dept. of Computer and Electrical & Telecommunication Eng., Wollongong University, 2002.

Research Interests:

Xiaodong's research interests include end-to-end performance of mobile telephony networks, QoS algorithms for IP networks, and the integration of GPS technology with mobile communications.

His current project is concerned with GPS signal propagation in "difficult" environments, such as under foliage, inside buildings, etc. The goal is to understand why carrier phase tracking cannot continue under trees, and to modify a 'high sensitivity' GPS receiver to perform such experiments.
