Ph.D., Department of Automatic Control, Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, P.R. China, 2002.

Short Bio:

Yanrui Geng is currently a Senior Research Associate at the School of Surveying & SIS, UNSW. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Precision Instruments and Mechanology from the Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, P.R. China, in 2002.

Yanrui is currently working for the Project "Sensor Integration for Low-Cost Robust Machine Automation". Before joining UNSW, he worked as an Associate Professor at School of Information Science & Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, P.R. China, for nearly three years. From January 2002 to January 2004, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Department of Automatic Control, Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, P.R. China.

Current Research Interests:

  • Satellite navigation
  • Aerospace guidance, control and dynamics
  • Stochastic estimate/filtering theory and applications
  • Integration of GPS and inertial units
  • GPS-based attitude determination
  • Nonlinear system filtering, modelling and multisensor data fusion

Interests:

Table tennis, jogging.
